The two cases below illustrate the value added services provided by Keppel FMO.

1. Alexandra Hospital

Keppel FMO Pte Ltd was instrumental in the designing and building of the Safari themed toilet near the Main Lobby in 2002, allowing patients to feel that the hospital is less of a hospital and more of a tropical retreat.

That particular toilet received rave reviews and acceptance for its creativity and innovativeness. This project showed that although our forte is in the maintenance of M & E systems, Keppel FMO staff are also adept and creative in other areas.

2. Changi General Hospital

Other than the day-to-day maintenance of M & E systems, the staff at CGH also avail themselves to maintaining or overseeing the operation and maintenance of other high-tech systems and equipment. This includes the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), the Pneumatic Tube System (PTS) and a State-of-the-art Hot Water System utilizing waste heat from an air-conditioning system. Such systems have not been used elsewhere in the other KFMO project sites or hospitals yet.

3. Our roles during the SARS crisis

In addition, during the SARS (Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome) outbreak in March 2003, All our Keppel FMO staff courageously reported for duty everyday in all the hospitals, participated in screening of visitors and fulfilled our roles as dependable partners in maintenance and operation of the SARS designated hospital.

At the moment that we were needed most KFMO staff did not cringed from our responsibility as assisted the hospital installing pressurised ventilation safety sequence contain air flow in the SARS wards.

We are not just a company who only maintains facilities and equipment, but also serve people and can be called upon at anytime when our nation requires our assistance. With this, our technician have received awards for their courage and effort.
